| These Union Pacific alco AA units were produced to celebrate Lionel's 50th Anniversary in 1950. Yellow body with grey roof. Painted plastic body with diecast painted frame. Single motor with Magnetraction. Applied metal ladders on diecast trucks. Ornamental horn. Operating headlight and illuminated number boards and marker lights. Most units have a typical roof warp. Fixed couplers on rears, coil couplers on pilots. Built in 1950 and re-cataloged in 1951. Great runners! The red stripe was rubber-stamped and must have irregularities and indistinct edges (characteristic of rubber-stamping) to be authentic. |
